We use both network-based and GPS-based location services on your phone to supply functionality to the app. The location data received by the app is used to provide your location on maps within the app. We may determine what city, state, and/or county you are located in based on the GIS coordinates supplied from your device solely for analytics purposes. This information is not stored in any database or server belonging to us and is not specifically identifiable to you.
In order for our app to work, we request both Wi-Fi and phone service provider internet permissions to sync information from our servers to the app, for you to view the information you are seeking. For push notifications to be delivered to you, we have to “prevent devices from sleeping.” This allows the MAPO app to periodically check for any notifications it needs to send you. We do not receive any information from you during either of these processes. You can enable or disable push notifications at any time in the app’s settings.
